TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED BY AGILISYS AND EVIIVO WINS TOURISM INDUSTRY AWARD

Agilisys, the UK’s most innovative IT and business process service provider, a driving force in transforming the UK tourism sector, is delighted to announce that a product originally developed and now hosted by Agilisys, the Eviivo frontdesk® application, has won the Travolution award for ‘Best Use of Technology’.

Agilisys has long been a leading partner to national and regional tourism organisations within the UK such as VisitBritain, One North East and Tourism South East, helping to create highly integrated technology platforms to deliver sustained growth across the sector.

In addition, Agilisys invested heavily in developing business solutions that help small and medium sized tourism businesses (such as B&Bs) to leverage the power of the internet and participate in e-commerce at exceptionally low cost. This product was then spun out of Agilisys as a separate organisation in partnership with VCubed and is now known as Eviivo.

Comments from judges on the frontdesk® application included “An excellent piece of technology which values and helps the smaller players in the industry to work with major brands” and “changing the distribution landscape for small brands.”

The Travolution Awards are organised by Travolution Magazine – the UK’s only media brand dedicated to the online travel industry – and is the most respected event for the travel sector.
