AGILISYS AWARDED 10 YEAR CONTRACT WITH GENERAL HEALTHCARE GROUP – THE UK’S LARGEST INDEPENDENT HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

Tuesday, 27 April 2010

Agilisys Helps General Healthcare Group Improve Patient Services and Reduce Costs with end-to-end Management of RIS-PACS Platform

London, UK, Tuesday, 27 April 2010 – Agilisys, the UK’s most innovative IT services and outsourcing provider, today announced that it has been awarded a 10-year contract by General Healthcare Group, the UK’s largest independent healthcare provider, to manage their Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS).

Agilisys has for a number of years been delivering services to GHG including outpatient scheduling, patient demographic systems and IT integration and consultancy services. The new contract further expands the relationship to include the management of the end-to-end RIS-PACS system for GHG, delivering improved system reliability, performance and scalability.
Agilisys will transform the current infrastructure into a re-usable platform, incorporating a complex comprehensive management and monitoring identifying end-to-end process completion. This approach will allow Agilisys to introduce further flexibility to the solution without compromising system reliability.

Ron Reynolds, Agilisys MD of Healthcare comments: “We’re delighted to continue our work with GHG as we collaborate to deliver improved patient care and cost savings. This is also a fantastic endorsement of the quality of work we have been delivering to GHG for a number of years, and further establishes us as a provider of choice for the Healthcare Sector. I believe we offer our customers a very compelling combination of skills including an innovative approach, healthcare-specific technical expertise, and strong programme management.”

Dan Morgan, IT Director, General Healthcare Group added: “This was a natural and strategic extension of the Agilisys partnership model we have enjoyed over the last few years. By aligning the capabilities of our systems, and ensuring they are managed within a healthcare-centric environment, we can ensure our RIS-PACS Platform continues to enjoy the innovation and scalability that is critical for our continued growth. The key success factor is that it continues to meet the demanding needs of our front-line staff. However, our history with Agilisys demonstrates that their deeper involvement across yet another area of our business will enable GHG to successfully deploy this service to our business more effectively."
