Elevate East London contact centre expansion brings new jobs and new businesses to the borough

Elevate East London LLP (Elevate), the innovative joint venture between IT and business services provider Agilisys and Barking and Dagenham Council, today welcomed 20 new recruits to their Barking-based contact centre. The new advisors, 18 of whom are from the borough, and nearly half are aged 18 – 24, have been hired to deliver customer contact services to meet growing demand from Agilisys’ wide range of clients – including a new Barking-based financial services provider.

As customary for both Elevate and Agilisys, all new advisors have received extensive training not only in client-specific processes and information, but also in general customer service, systems handling, and data protection, valuable skills for the increasingly service-based economy found in the UK today.

Cllr John White, Cabinet Member for Customer Services and Human Resources, welcomed the new recruits, saying, “This is another great example of how partnership working can increase prosperity across the borough. I’m particularly pleased to see the opportunity these new positions are bringing to local young people, who form the future of a successful Barking and Dagenham.”

Agilisys CEO Kay Andrews added, “As a strategic partner with the council, Agilisys is delighted to expand our local contact centre, further cementing our commitment to East London. The enthusiasm of these new hires is remarkable; we’re thrilled to have found such a strong group of individuals, and are confident our work here will continue to grow.”

New advisor, Kay Campion continued, “I’m excited to start this new job, it’s great to find something like this in the area and I especially appreciate the training I’ve received since being hired last month. I feel confident in my new skills – and I’m really looking forward to working with such a great company.”
