BARROW CALL CENTRE RAISES FUNDS TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF 40 CHILDREN
Tuesday, 10 June 2008
Agilisys Contact Services’ Barrow Call Centre will present a cheque for £6,000 to Operation Smile UK, the organisation dedicated to repairing childhood facial deformities
London, UK, 10 June 2008 – Agilisys, the UK’s most innovative IT and business process service provider, is delighted to announce that employees in their Contact Centre in Barrow will be presenting a cheque for £6,000 on Wednesday, June 11th at 3pm to Operation Smile UK’s Director of Communications, Alex Talbot. The cost of surgery performed by specialists who donate their time and expertise to Operation Smile is estimated at £150 per child, which means that the funds raised by Agilisys Contact Services will change the lives of 40 children.
Over the past 12 months Agilisys Contact Services (ACS) Centres in the UK and Ireland have been busy organising a range of activities giving generously of their time and money to raise funds for those less fortunate. The £6,000 was raised across the organisation but the prize goes to the Barrow centre for raising the most!
In addition to the £6,000 being presented tomorrow, there are further activities being organised to encourage even more donations. Activities organised for June 11th include a Hula Hoop competition, Space Hopper races and a penalty killer goal competition!
Mike McGuckin, Managing Director of Agilisys Contact Services commented “I’m really proud of our employees who not only work hard and do a fantastic job for our clients, but also find time to give so generously in support of Operation Smile. I think we’re really fortunate to employ such a great group of people.”
Alex Talbot, Communications Director at Operation Smile UK added “The team at ACS have just been incredible with the energy and dedication they have shown over the years in supporting us. They are always thinking up new and fun ways of raising funds, and their donations have been increasing year on year. We are so grateful for their support, and most importantly they will be changing the lives of 40 children, forever. That’s something to be very proud of.”
