AGILISYS TO DELIVER ICT SERVICES TO OLDHAM MBC ON BEHALF OF PREFERRED BIDDER, THE UNITY PARTNERSHIP, IN 10-YEAR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WORTH UP TO £260M

London, UK, 19 June 2006- Agilisys, one of the UK's most innovative IT and business process service providers today announced that they will provide ICT Services to Oldham MBC on behalf of the Unity Partnership which was today named preferred bidder for the Oldham Borough Council Strategic Partnership, valued at up to £260m over 10 years.
The Unity Partnership, a joint venture between Mouchel Parkman and HBS, will help the council deliver its customer, exchequer, highways and property services over the next 10 years boosting local jobs and providing widespread regeneration throughout Oldham. Agilisys' role will be to provide ICT services and to undertake major elements of the ICT work in support of business process transformation.
Following a highly competitive selection and evaluation process, the Unity Partnership will look to begin to deliver services from October this year.
Oldham Council Deputy Chief Executive Mike Chambers who is the director in charge of SSDP work for the local authority said: "Now that we have appointed the Unity Partnership we are aiming to negotiate improvements in services, significant job creation and financial stability for the Council. This will allow us to develop a partnership that is right for all communities in Oldham."
