AGILISYS ANNOUNCES UP TO 50 NEW JOBS IN BARROW BY JUNE 2008
January 14, 2008
London, UK, Monday January 14th – Agilisys, one of the UK’s most innovative IT and business process service providers, is pleased to announce that further growth is anticipated in 2008 for their Contact Centre at Craven House in Barrow resulting in up to 50 jobs by June of this year.
Agilisys Contact Services established the Barrow centre in 2005 with approximately 45 advisors providing the Consumer Direct North West Service in partnership with Cumbria County Council to 21 Local Authorities in the North West. Since then the business has continued to grow at an impressive rate, with Agilisys now employing 170 FTEs providing services to private sector clients in addition to work on Consumer Direct.
Mike McGuckin, Managing Director, Agilisys Contact Services Comments: “Barrow has proved to be an ideal place to build our business because we have been able to hire such a great group of advisors who have contributed to our growth. In addition, the help we have had from Barrow Council and Tom Campbell in particular has proved invaluable in terms of advice and support when it comes to accommodation.
“Due to a pilot project we are currently running out of Barrow our staff numbers are currently at 205 FTEs. Should we be successful in turning the pilot into a long term contract – and we fully expect this to happen in the next month – we could be looking at hiring a further 50 advisors by the middle of the year. I am also very confident that we will easily grow beyond that number before the end of 2008.”
