AGILISYS AND THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM LINK UP TO CREATE THE H&F BRIDGE PARTNERSHIP

25th July 2006

Hammersmith based IT services company Agilisys joins forces with the council to bring together the best of public sector and private sector expertise.

Agilisys, one of the UK's most innovative IT and business process service providers and Hammersmith & Fulham Council today announced the creation of a Joint Venture Company (JVC) called the H&F Bridge Partnership.

Agilisys and Hammersmith & Fulham council have successfully delivered a number of key projects since entering into an Incremental Strategic Partnership in May 2004, helping the Council to deliver its e-government vision and building services around the customer. The agreement has been seen as a groundbreaking relationship between public and private sectors and was adopted by the ODPM (now the DCLG) as a best practice case study on Incremental Partnership.

The new JVC will build on the success of the existing relationship between the Council and Agilisys to date. The H&F Bridge Partnership provides a vehicle through which a centre of excellence will be created. The partnership will deliver to Hammersmith and Fulham Council first and then, with the aim of extending services to other boroughs and public sector bodies in London, provide shared services to deliver the efficiency agenda to the public sector.

The Leader of the Council, Councillor Stephen Greenhalgh commented, "Agilisys has been providing excellent services to the Council since 2004 and we see the H&F Bridge Partnership as a natural next step. Our primary concern is to deliver the best possible level of service to the residents of Hammersmith & Fulham at the lowest possible cost. By linking up with Agilisys we will be able to significantly enhance the delivery of services by using technology and improved processes to target services to residents that need them in the way that they want them delivered. By entering into the Joint Venture with Agilisys we will also be able to realise greater efficiency savings - that in turn will help us to achieve our goal of reducing Council Tax."

Charles Mindenhall, Agilisys CEO added, "We are delighted to be further cementing our relationship with Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Not only are they fully committed to improving services, they also have the vision to see the possibilities extending beyond that in creating a 'Centre of Excellence' in the borough. At Agilisys we focus on building true partnerships, as demonstrated by our relationships with Cumbria County Council, Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council and Oldham where we have recently been announced preferred bidder for a 10-year partnership. By creating centres of excellence around the UK, we are making shared services in the public sector a reality."

IT services will be delivered for the Council by the H&F Bridge Partnership from October 1st 2006.
