PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To assist in the provision of a support service to the Highways and Engineering Service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in the provision of financial, administrative and clerical support.
- To contribute to the development of administrative and financial procedures and systems.
- To provide general advice to engineering staff on administrative and financial systems and procedures.
- To calculate and prepare journals.
- To analyse and reconcile accounts within set timescales.
- To carry out job costings and calculate recharges.
- To input and retrieve data on Corporate and Service IT systems.
- To contribute towards the overall development and objectives of the Team.
- To participate in in-service training.
- Contribute towards the vision, values, aims and objectives of the Impact Partnership
- Any other duties commensurate with the post.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
- Experience of using IT systems in a finance/admin support environment.
- Experience of budgetary control and monitoring procedures.
- Experience of using spreadsheets.
- Experience of book-keeping.
Technical Skills
- Ability to input and retrieve data from/to IT systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative in a methodical, logical and organised manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
- High level of numeracy.
- Good interpersonal skills.
