Intrinsic, the revolutionary new end-to-end solution providing financial advice, selects Agilisys to provide hosting services.
London, UK - 13 February 2006 - Agilisys, the leading technology and business process services provider, has been selected as the outsourcing partner to provide and manage the outsourced IT and telecommunications platform for Intrinsic, the new multi-tie mortgage, investment and life distribution company headed by former Zurich UK chief Lord Leitch.
Intrinsic, established in October 2005, will provide financial advisers with a directly authorised, high-tech platform for their business. Offering a complete end-to-end solution for mortgage, insurance and pension advice, Intrinsic provides a single integrated point of sale. Previously multiple sites and databases would need to be accessed and managed by the adviser. The solution heralds a new era for the 'Financial Advice' industry by providing unprecedented levels of integration across software platforms and a highly secure hosting environment with multiple forms of secure access.

Agilisys is providing the hosting infrastructure for Intrinsic in its London data centre with an additional full disaster recovery solution outside of London. The IT platform will host an integrated suite of software solutions from providers N4 Solutions, The Exchange, and WorkSmart. Within the solution, Agilisys has procured, deployed and will manage the infrastructure on an ongoing basis. The infrastructure includes:
- Production environment centrally hosted
- Disaster Recovery environment centrally hosted on different site
- Separate hosted testing environment
- Triangulated communication links between hosting sites and head office
- Cisco Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony solution
- Multiple desktop and remote configurations based on user profiles
- Secure user identification and authentication
- Daily Data Back-up and Storage
This announcement comes as the financial services market begins to experience a wave of change in the area of financial product distribution. Changes brought about by the Government under the label 'Depolarisation' in June 2005 have created the opportunity for a new generation of financial advice provider.
