Agilisys, the digital technology specialist to the public sector, is delighted to announce the extension of their partnership with Sandwell Council, which will see them continue to provide information, communication and technology (ICT) services to local schools.
The new contract will run until 2021, during which time Agilisys will continue to modernise ICT services and transform educational delivery in schools within the Rowley and Smethwick Learning Campuses.
Agilisys’ ICT services are tailored to the specific requirements of each school, enabling students in Sandwell to develop essential ICT skills, providing over 3,000 pupils with access to digital devices.
Councillor Steve Trow, Cabinet Member for Council Core Services for Sandwell Council, said, “We’ve been continually impressed with the services and support that Agilisys has provided us with over the last seven years; it was therefore a natural decision for us to want to continue this partnership. Reliable and professionally supported ICT services are essential in ensuring our young people can achieve their full potential and develop their digital skills to better prepare them for the workplace.”
Sean Grimes, Director of IT Services at Agilisys added: “We feel especially privileged that Sandwell has chosen to continue to partner with us on their journey in moulding the future of their schools’ digitisation. Our employees will work closely with all local authority partners across Sandwell Council to provide access to modern ICT facilities for pupils; just one way in which we’re expanding the country’s capacity to make the most of digital technology.”
