What the Annual Review Agent does
Every child with an EHCP gets an annual review: a check on whether the plan still fits, what has changed, and what needs updating. That means gathering input from schools, parents, health professionals and the young person, then working out what the plan should say now.
The Annual Review Agent handles the assembly and the drafting. It brings together the evidence from across the review period, applies the statutory requirements, and drafts the amended EHCP for your SEND team to check and finalise, rather than rebuilding the plan from scratch each time.
For local authorities already using the EHCP Agent, this is the natural next step: the same approach applied to every review cycle, not only the first plan.

Rory was reviewed in clinic today with his mother. His diagnosis of developmental language disorder with associated dyspraxia is unchanged.
Rory is now reviewed on a fortnightly basis by the speech and language therapy team, rather than weekly as previously recorded.
Fine motor control remains an area of difficulty, particularly pencil grip and letter formation. Rory benefits from a sloped writing surface and short, frequent handwriting practice.
